VINCE WESTPHAL, age 56, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Beloved husband of Stacy Westphal (nee Scibbe) for 29 years. Loving father of Bethany Westphal, Gabrielle Sorensen (Matt) and Dawn Ward (Melissa). Devoted Papa V to Rebecca, Andrew, and Patrick Sorensen. Dear son of Mary Ann Galardi and the late Casey Westphal. Cherished brother of Laurie Phillips (Roger). Son-in-law of Janice Scibbe. Brother-in-law of Cindy Braun (Jeff, Vince's best friend) and Becky Jeric (Jeff). Dearest uncle of Christopher, Adam, and Emily Philips, Erin and Tessa Orzech, Holly Vinkovich and Jeff Jeric.
Vince was a devoted family man and a skilled machinist and custom artisan with a high work ethic. Known as Vinnie to some, he spent most of his adult life volunteering for the Legion of Terror haunted house performing as the Beast Master. He enjoyed golf, chess, fishing, and spinning vinyl on one of his multiple turntables. Vince also loved listening to his daughter, Bethany, play the saxophone. He was a devoted caregiver to all of the family's pets, and especially his dogs Poncho, who preceded him in death and Pretzel, who has exceeded his life expectancy.
Family and Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Vince's graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, 1870 Center Rd., Hinckley, OH 44233 on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. (PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY ENTRANCE). Masks are required for all services and social distance protocols will be followed.
