Laura Virginia Ryan, 39, of Laurel, MD, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2020. She was born on April 21, 1981, in Barberton, OH, to parents Donna and David Ryan and was the beloved granddaughter of the late Lenore and Ed Graf. She loved animals of all kinds, and rescued many in her short time here. Laura also loved to sing and dance and even choreographed songs for horses and their riders in competitions. She attended Wadsworth Schools till 10th grade when she had an opportunity to attend an International High School and participate in both sports and music. Her degrees in ASL served her well in interpreting, and in teaching rescued deaf animals and their humans to communicate. Gallaudet University was a favorite place to learn more ASL from the students in dorms. She loved new experiences and her friends and the horses at Reddemeade Equestrian Center were her life. She leaves behind her dear friend Jessica and little daughter Sylvia, favorite horses Storm and Luna, little dog Shorty, and Chip, a kitten rescued from the Chipotle parking lot. She crossed that Rainbow Bridge, meeting all her loved ones again. Perhaps the stars in the sky are not stars, but rather openings, whereour loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy (an Eskimo Legend). Her mother, for one, will be watching the stars.
