Laura Marie Marks (nee Hlavaty), age 67, passed away on the morning of March 4, 2026 after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Dale Marks for 27 years. Loving mother of Madeline Marks and dog mom to Hadley. Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann (nee Rakovec) Hlavaty. Compassionate sister of Suzanne Boyle (Pat), Joe (Julie), Anthony (Kim), Michael (Raylene), and Sharon Brickman (Bill). Dearest sister-in-law of John Marks (Karen) and Faith DePoppe (Bill). Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Faithful friend to all.
Laura was a world traveler who loved photography. She was devoted to her faith, and passionate about singing in the St. Basil the Great Choir. Laura was also a fitness fanatic and never missed a spin class. She worked many years as a dental hygienist and loved taking care of people's teeth. Laura's top priority was being a mother to Madeline and she was ever present in her life.
Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 4-8 p.m. Laura's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH 44141 on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
