Janice R. (Salona) Scibbe

Janice R. Scibbe (nee Salona) 85 of Brecksville passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. Beloved wife of 58 years to the late Herbert W.; loving mother of Cynthia Braun (Jeff), Rebecca Jeric (Jeff) and Stacy Westphal (Vince,deceased); grandmother of Gabrielle Sorensen (Matt), Erin Szeremet (Nick), Dawn Ward (Melissa), Tessa Orzech, Holly Vinkovich (Tommy), Jeff Jeric and Bethany Westphal; great-grandmother to Rebecca, Andrew and Patrick Sorensen; Aunt of Mary Beth Gersten and Michael Raven (Jennie). Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Alice Salona; sister, Carolyn Raven and brother John Salona.

Janice attended Heidelberg College and worked in the Math Department at NASA, where she met Herb. She was an accomplished pianist and loved to sing in the church choir. She was also an avid bridge player for over 50 years, earning the rank of Ruby Life Master. Following Herb's retirement, Janice and Herb became 3 Million Dollar Sellers with Realty One. Loved ones will remember Janice for her love of cats (her "fur babies") and the Cleveland Indians. 

Friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 6-8 pm. Janice's memorial service will be held at the Richfield United Church of Christ, 4340 W. Streetsboro Rd., Richfield, OH 44286 on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11:00 am (Please meet at church). MASKS ARE REQUIRED AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND CHURCH.
