Clayton Lee Ellenberger

Clayton Lee Ellenberger, age 38 of Broadview Hts., Ohio passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 31, 2022. He was born in Warriors Mark, PA on February 5, 1984 to Terry and Sherry Ellenberger. Beloved husband of Diana (nee Deitrick); Devoted father to daughters, Adalyn, Everleigh and Lainey; Loving brother of Buffy Garber (Ron); Dearest brother-in-law of Michelle Schreiber (Dan) and Mike Deitrick (Melissa), Favorite uncle of Brooklin and Derrick Garber, Grady, Maycie and Maggie Schreiber, and Bryce, Caleb and Austin Deitrick; Dear son-in-law of Larry and Renee Deitrick.

Clayton was a proud U.S. Marine who served his country for 4 years. While serving he did 2 tours in Iraq. Clayton spent the past 4 years as a member of the Cleveland Police Department proudly serving the community of Cleveland.

When Clayton wasn't devoting his time to helping others he was taking care of his girls.  He loved his wife and 3 little girls so very much. Clayton was a graduate of Penn State University and was a proud supporter of anything Penn State.  He and his mother Sherry and sister Buffy loved rooting for their Nittany Lions.

Clayton was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting with his father Terry.  They spent countless hours in their tree stand out at Camp. 

Clayton was loved by many and will be missed by all.  He forever will be in our thoughts and in the hearts of his little girls.  

Clayton's Memorial Service will be held at Cuyahoga Valley Church, 5055 East Wallings Rd., Broadview Hts., Ohio on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 11:00 am with Police and Military Honors. A Memorial Gathering will immediately follow the service until 4:00 pm.
