Robert A. McKinnell

Robert (Bob) A. McKinnell of Brecksville, Ohio passed away on March 14, 2019 at the age of 93.

Beloved husband of Arlene D. for 71 years. Loving father of Susan McKinnell (Dan Geiger), Barbara Kachmarik (Andrew), Roberta Jefferies (Kent) and Becky McKinnell. Dear grandfather of Diane McLaine (Scott), Bonnie Jefferies (Bryan Willham), Brian Jefferies (Jen), and Linda Jefferies. Great grandfather of Ryan, Adam and Rachel McLaine, Timothy and Alexander Willham, Tyler, Sandy and Emerson Jefferies. Dear brother of the late George and James McKinnell. Cherished friend to many.

Bob was born in Mendham, New Jersey and grew up on Glencarin Farm where he learned to drive a tractor at the age of nine. He proudly served his country during WW II in the U.S. Navy. Bob graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) Wharton School of Business. While attending college, he met Arlene, who is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. Bob was an Industrial Engineer/Manager for Union Carbide (later Eveready Battery Corporation) for 39 years. He was an avid reader, loved to garden and enjoyed many hobbies over the years; such as wine making and wood working.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at NOSEK-MCCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD., BRECKSVILLE, OHIO 44141 on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:30 pm where friends will be received from 2:00 pm until service time.
