Richard Jaegers

Richard "Dick" Carl Jaegers (Jaegersberg) born Oct. 1st 1939 was called to his eternal resting place on May 22, 2019. Born to Carl & Anne Jaegers (Jaegersberg) He is survived by his wife Linda. His children Carl, Caren and Richard from a previous marriage. As well as his sister Melanie Jaegers Kachold(John), grandchildren Carl, Meagan, Zachary, Alexandra, and Alaina.

Dick owned Clipper industries for many years. It was across form the Westside Market, if you worked for him he provided lunches to his employees getting  the food from the market. He kept a finger on the goings on at the Market. It is a place where his father and sister had worked over the years at a stall owned by his uncle Joe Bistricky.

He loved boating was a member  of the Edgewater Yacht Club, participating in numerous races over the years on Lake Erie. As a member of the Rolls-Royce Association he would show his car at meets. He especially loved his 1939 Bentley.  When visiting his sister he often played cards with his nephews, teaching them blackjack at the ages of 5 and 7.  Dick took up biking and spent time on the Cuyahoga Valley trails,  going to concerts at Blossom, art fares in the park almost any event that was held in the park he tried to make it to. He liked having an excuse to go to the water slide park that was in the Valley, he was sad when it closed.

His memorial service will be held June 29th from 1-4 pm at Reinecker Bakery 8575 S. Freeway Dr.in Macedonia, appetizers beer and wine will be served. Please bring your happy/funny memories.

In lieu of flowers since Dick loved his Misha dogs (all his dogs were named Misha) donations to Northeast Ohio SPCA shelter and clinic or for his love of the parks Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
