DANIEL JAMES DOBEK, age 70 of Brecksville passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Bush) for 45 years; loving father of Dea Steinmetz (Matt), Diana Mousoulias (Gregory) and Daniele Ibrahim (Steve); dear son of the late John and Emily Dobek, dearest brother of Paul Dobek (Ruth), the late Dolores Toriskie (Joe), Lynn Martinis (Dean), and the late William Bush. Uncle of Christine, Nancy, Karen, and Denise. Great uncle of many. Devoted friend of Bill and Deb and too many others to mention.

Dan, “Mr. D”, will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his clever sense of humor, fun loving personality, warm heart, and contagious smile. His charming personality instantly won over everyone he met. He was an accomplished mechanical sales engineer who kept in touch with his many coworkers turned great friends. He was fortunate enough to retire early allowing him to spend more time with his wife and daughters. His favorite pastimes included golfing with his lifelong friends, traveling across the country on excellent adventures, coaching his daughters’ softball games, birdwatching in the park, enjoying live music from legendary rock bands, maintaining his yard and flowers, and going out to eat with friends at his favorite local spots.

Family and friends will be received at NOSEK-McCREERY FUNERAL HOME, 8150 BRECKSVILLE RD, BRECKSVILLE, OH 44141 on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 4-8 pm. Prayers at the funeral home Thursday, August 29 at 9:30 am followed by Daniel's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 8700 Brecksville Rd., Brecksville, OH. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
