We want you to know that we take the health and safety of our community and the families we serve seriously.  We also understand that a family’s grief cannot be put on hold and we will continue to have services to honor and pay tribute to the life that was lived during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We will remain operational during the government imposed “Stay at Home” order, but we will be working remotely.  We are available by phone 24/7 to answer any questions and respond to emergencies (440) 526-6050.  We will be available at the Funeral Home by appointment ONLY during this time.  Please do not hesitate to call with any questions.

We believe the health and safety of the community and our staff are of the utmost importance.  Therefore, we are following the recommendations of the CDC, Federal Government, State Government, and the Ohio Department of Health and as follows we will:

…when possible, make at-need and preneed arrangement conferences via telephone calls, our online planning platform, video conference and/or other electronic means including emailed documents.

…continue to meet in person with families that do not have means of telecommunications or electronic communications, limiting the conference to two people.

…maintain social distancing of six-feet separation from funeral home staff and family.

…omit public calling hours.

…recommend families hold private gatherings of 10 or less people.  When the family is larger than 10, we will separate groups into assigned times.

…host larger memorial gatherings when the pandemic is under control.

… request that those with a fever, and those with any flu or cold like symptoms do NOT attend any service at our facility.

…encourage those with suppressed immune systems and considered high risk NOT attend services at our facility.

…encourage the above groups to support the family with online condolences via the funeral home web site, a phone call or email message.

…encourage viral control etiquette (i.e. no hugging, kissing or shaking of hands; creating personal space of 6’; cough into crook of elbow).

…separate chapel chairs for the safety of each attendee.

…have funeral home staff attend the register book and sign for each guest.

…temporarily cease receptions, catering, food, drinks, remove candy and novelty gifts to keep hands from gravitating to a central dish.

…continue a strict cleaning and sanitizing schedule between every gathering and in person meeting.

These precautions will remain in place from March 24, 2020 through May 1, 2020 or until recommendations from government agencies advise that it is okay to ease these restrictions.
